How Aromandise Soy Sauce is Made
Soybeans and wheat are expertly fermented once to produce Koji. A second fermentation, lasting 6 to 12 months, takes place in temperature-controlled vats. The 2 fermentation phases are controlled to obtain the best flavors and nutritional qualities. Different aromatic compounds are obtained depending on the fermentation method. No preservatives or additives are used to produce our soy sauce!
Origin of soybeans
Soybeans, the main ingredient in Aromandise soy sauces, are grown close to the partner’s factory in China (the region where the soybeans originate). Their technological and biological quality is meticulously controlled*, as is their absence of GMOs. Aromandise pays particular attention to this last point: it analyses the organic soybeans used in the composition of its organic soy sauces to ensure that they are free of GMOs subject to regulation in Europe. The raw materials are harvested close to the factory and the sauces are shipped by sea to Aromandise’s warehouses in Montpellier. This reduces the carbon footprint of the entire process.

Aromandise's partner
Aromandise's partner factory is located on the east coast of China in the Shandong region, near Bohai Bay, which has four distinct seasons and a temperate climate that provides excellent natural conditions for the food manufacturing industry such as the soy sauce industry. Soy sauces are produced naturally under perfect fermentation control from non-GMO ingredients and contain no preservatives or food additives that are harmful to health.
Aromandise’s partner has built its reputation on 70 years of quality (since 1948) but also on reliability: nutritional qualities and food safety are strictly controlled by qualified and experienced personnel in research and development, quality management and production. The team members include experienced technicians from various regions of China and Japanese experts. Since the Japanese market is one of the export markets, in addition to other Southeast Asian countries, this is a sign of recognition of the excellence of the Japanese manufacturing method.
Aromandise's partner also attaches great importance to environmental protection. Production effluents are recovered through biomass and combustion to produce energy to fully satisfy production needs. Emissions of air pollutants and effluents are thus significantly reduced and controlled.
