About Ho Wood

The Ho tree (Cinnamomum camphora CT linalool) is a medium-sized tree belonging to the Lauraceae family. It has evergreen, bright green foliage, with oval and aromatic leaves. Its wood, rich in fragrant essence, gives rise to a soft and floral essential oil, very similar to that of rose, due to its high linalool content.

Native to Asia, particularly China and Taiwan, it grows in temperate to subtropical regions. It prefers well-drained, deep, slightly moist soils, with sun or semi-shade exposure. Hardy and adaptable, it is often cultivated for the distillation of its wood, bark and, sometimes, its leaves.

Its essential oil is highly valued in natural cosmetics and aromatherapy for its balancing, soothing and purifying properties. It is particularly well tolerated, even by sensitive skin, and is often used in anti-aging treatments, relaxing massages or calming diffusion synergies.
